I work for a company that has to have very serious RequirementsManagement?; we can be and are audited by the FDA. I’m also a really big fan of TWikis. TWiki is designed for business environments. It seems so natural to want to mix requirements management with TWiki. Document management is a non-trivial task though. I realize that. However, it seems like with a little perl coding and some careful thought, TWiki would do wonderfully. I get goosebumps when I read TWiki:Codev/TWikiForRequirementsManagement.

I’m using logrotate from the debian/woody
GNU/Linux distribution. Somehow I’ve gotten an error in its configuration even though I haven’t manyally changed anything. Every stinking day I get mail from Anacron with this message:
/etc/cron.daily/logrotate:
error running shared postrotate script for /var/log/apache/*.log
run-parts: /etc/cron.daily/logrotate exited with return code 1
When I trace it down, the postroate script is simply
/etc/init.d/apache reload > /dev/null I’ve run that from the command line and verified it’s return code is 0. How annoying.

I’m really excited about Bioware’s
NeverwinterNights?. It’s a faithful rendering of the Dungeons & Dragons, 3rd Ed “d20” ruleset. Basically, this game is everything teenage geeks across the world were wanting when computers first started having games on them. Bioware originally promised that Windows, Linux, and MacOSX versions of the game would be co-released on the same CD in the same box. That just didn’t happen. So now we wait for
weekly updates on the status of the Linux client.
Meanwhile there is much complaining about the lack of the Linux client most recently
here, but also
here,
here,
here, and
here among others.
So some
troll was asking if all of us complaining about not having a Linux client, “I take it that all you people who use Linux and totally hate Windows have never played nwn”. I know I shouldn’t feed the trolls, but I couldn’t
resist. My post is about half way down (too bad you can’t link directly to an individual post).
